May 23, 2016 10:49 AM in response to libracoloby ShagCA,Are you setting it up the first time? If you are, make sure the firmware is updated. If it has worked before, power cycle the printer and the iPad if necessary.

May 23, 2016 10:59 AM in response to libracoloby elcpu,Unfortunately the Canon MG5300 is not an AirPrint enabled printer and even on the same network it will not be recognized.
About AirPrint - Apple Support
However, some manufacturers offer their own Apps to print from. Try going to the App Store and looking for a Canon Print app.

May 23, 2016 11:00 AM in response to ShagCAby libracolo,I can't swear that I ever printed to it before, but I have updated the firmware for the printer to the latest version available from Canon, I can print to it my from my PC (Win 7) wirelessly, but the iPad and iPhone (Air and 6s respectively) will not see it at all. I did have to change the wi-fi network (change from the telecom company), but again, it is on the same wifi network as my phone/iPad. I have tried rebooting the printer and the iPad with no luck. Any other help would be awesome....

May 23, 2016 11:05 AM in response to libracoloby ShagCA,I found this article (Canon Canada). Not sure if MG5320 is the same as MG5300. If they are different printers, yours may not be airprint compatible. You may still be able to print but you need Canon printer app.

May 23, 2016 11:14 AM in response to libracoloby ShagCA,Not sure if it helps but are you using static IP on the printer?
-
May 23, 2016 11:20 AM in response to ShagCAby libracolo,I have no idea, it was configured with default settings, the computer is DHCP, so unless the printer is set to static by default I wouldn't think it's a static IP. I have no clue on how to even check and see if it's static or not (other than what the computer is running).

May 23, 2016 11:33 AM in response to libracoloby elcpu,Since your PC sees the printer I don't think it is an issue with the network. Try this Canon App and see if it helps. I use the Epson equivalent and it works well for me.

May 23, 2016 12:42 PM in response to Briansyddallby libracolo,Thanks, in the process of verifying that the settings now between router and printer. If that doesn't work, I'm just going to reinstall the printer drivers. I looked in the App Store at the 3 different Canon apps, but none of them mentioned supporting this model, so I'm hesitant to add an app, but if nothing else works, then I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice everyone.

May 23, 2016 1:25 PM in response to libracoloby ShagCA,You said earlier that you can print wirelessly from Windows 7 PC. If your Win 7 PC is not wired to the router (as well as wirelessly connected), it tells me your printer is connected to the WiFi AP. I want to say that AP isolation may be a potential problem but again, you can print from Windows 7 PC so that rules it out. Double checking all settings is a good thing. Let us know what you find.
