Q: iTunes iBook sync and MAC iBook - differ file contents
I was trying to open an older book on my iPad. When I looked for the book, there were only 87 books available in the iPad, no pdf versions and a lot of purchased books were missing. I usually have about 250 books/pdfs in iBooks on the iPad. I connected the unit to my iMac and only 87 books appeared in the ‘Sync Books’ section on iTunes. I opened iBooks on the iMac and there were about 250 books/pdfs available. I could not find the library the the iMac iBooks uses. The only library I found had the same 87 books as seen in iTunes sync (/Users/jimalfonse/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/i Books/Books). The .epubs were numbered and there seemed no way to identify the books without using 'get info' and seeing the preview picture.
I tried copying the 250 files in iBooks on the iMac to a new folder on the desktop to save them while I tried to locate the proper Library file. The MAC iBook application crashed while copying them. I did seem to get them in the BUP folder on my desktop. The file names kept the proper titles in the new folder.
Thoughts???
