Q: Can't install Final Cut Studio in Snow Leopard

I get the following Alert when trying to install Final Cut Studio (version 3.0):

'-Final Cut Studio Installer requires that your system have 128 MB of VRAM; this system has only 0 MB of VRAM.' and

'-Final Cut Studio Installer requires that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card.'

I find this puzzling as I used to have FCS installed on this very machine - but due to hard drive failure I had to do a clean install of everything again. I do vaguely remember having trouble when I upgraded to Snow Leopard (years ago) but there was a workaround because the software was already installed. Any suggestions from the community?

My specs are:

Mac Pro 1,1

2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon

4GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

ATI Radeon HD 5770

OS X 10.6.3

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

A Mac OS X Combo update fixed this issue. The computer had not been connected to the internet since installing the new hard drive and I recalled that the video card was not the original. So I connected and performed the software update and now Final Cut Pro is happily installing.
