order of pictures wrong in Photos

I have the latest version of Apple Photos, v 1.5. I just came back from a trip to England and loaded the photos from my iP6 in to Photos. On one day, the photos taken in the evening were before the pictures taken in the afternoon. The afternoon pictures are all of an ancient site and should be together.

I can see no way to move the evening pictures to the end of the afternoon pictures. I can’t give a logical description of the pictures with them out of order like this.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure that is not the problem, but may have some bearing, see below. In Photos, the afternoon series of pictures have times of May 14, 2016, 1:45 PM - 3:34PM. Then starts a set of pictures with times of 3:49 pm-7:47pm.

At the end are pictures with times of 3:15Pm…3:27PM. All the pictures carried the same relative (local) time. The were all taken on the same day, so theere is no way one group would be teated differently from the rest.

I should add that

1. the order is correct in my iPhone/camera, and

2. the times are consecutive, however,

3. all the camera times are US times (5 hrs before England time) and

3. the location was missing from the five that are out of place in Photos. I manually put in the England location for these.

This is confusing since Photos shows the correct England date/time even though the pics had no location on them. The camera dropped the location on the 5 out of place pics, but kept the relative time correct. Perhaps the GPS fell out for those pics.

All I want is to be able to drage the pics to their correct location, but that seems to be impossible.

You should be able "over rule" all metadata when you select the image(s) and Get Info (Command+I) on them.

Please also also note that the Photos view (Moments, Collections, Years) is based on the time stamps the images were taken, whereas the All Photos view is based on the Added to Photos time stamp.
