Q: Does the MacBook 1.3 GHz m7 run hotter than the 1.2 GHz m5?
Does anyone have experience with this? Does the new Skylake 1.3 GHz m7 run hotter than the 1.2 GHz m5?
I hate having a toasty computer on my lap, so I'm inclined to buy the 1.2 GHz m5. However, I'm wonder it there is really much difference in real-world usage. Anyone have some insight into this?
Thanks!

Hi Joel, any CPU that is clocked to run at a higher speed will have a slightly higher temperature though both the Broadwell Core M in the 2015 Macbook and Skylake processors in the 2016 Macbook provide low amount of heat compared to the current MacBook Pro line. If you are still concerned I would recommend visiting an Apple Store or authorized reseller that has a MacBook running all day to feel the bottom surface.
