Q: Why is my Macbook Pro shutting down>
I have a Macbook Pro bought in Oct. 2014 running El Capitan 10.11.4 and it has started shutting down randomly. I left it on last night and this morning it had shut down while being charged. It happened again a few minutes ago using just battery power. I get a message that there was a problem and the computer
shut down. Then it starts back up with no problem. The processor is 2.8 GHz intel Core i7 and it has 16 GB of memory.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks so much. I followed your suggestion and it seems that there may be a problem with the battery or a memory bank.
I am not in the US right now so will contact Apple when I get home.
I appreciate your help.
