May 24, 2016 5:48 AMby Meg St._Clair,Delete the account and start over. Trying to edit email account settings is problematic at best. Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap on your account, scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit the delete button.
Who is your email provider? If it's something common, such as Yahoo or Gmail, the system should be able to automatically populate the required settings. If it's something else, contact your email provider for the exact settings before starting.
For a common provider, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add New Account.
