Q: iMessage not working from OS X

Hi,

Since i've made the 10.11.5 update, i can't send messages in iMessage. I'm able to receive them, to send thru SMS but on the iMessage ones, i get the exclamation mark.
Already tried to make logout and login, to use another email to send, but nothing works.
Does anyone have this same problem?
Thanks!

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

I have the same exact issue and wondering how you get on.

    - Changed MLB

    - Serial number match

    - Tried all steps as advised (deleted keychains, guest login, etc)

    - I have 2 iPhones and iPad (works fine on all 3 devices)

I noticed something though ... as soon as you get your MLB swapped if you log into your iCloud account and you go under your devices, you'll see that your computer with identical serial numbers is listed twice. Having said that after removing both and re-login to iCloud (for the mac to show up again) the issue was still there.

I have also noticed if you log in/out of the computer account (or restart) every time you log back in there's an iCloud error as well which will go away after you login to iCloud AGAIN through System Preferences. Error: "This Mac can’t connect to iCloud because of a problem with "EMAIL@GMAIL(dot)com". Open iCloud preferences to fix this problem."  [This is quite annoying on top of everything else]

I've called Apple Care today and they admit it should be a server side thing. The level 2 tech said he doesn't have access to that section of the server and needs to escalate it to Engineering. He mentioned I should hear back by Wednesday.( 4 business day )

Ralph ... I have to say thank you for all your work not just here. I can admit over the 9 years I've been a Mac user and a network engineer, I can across your post multiple time anytime dealing with AIM / Message / etc. You simply rock, if I ever meet you in a pub, you're drinks are on me.

I just had my new MPB logic board replaced again.

    Works like a charm.

    TO ALL JINX like me,

Get to your local apple service and try another logic board!

    THANKS RALPHI!
