Q: Sync two macs miles apart, quickly, automatically?

I'm looking for a great solution to migrating between two offices, one at home and one in an office building. On any given day I'll get up at 4am, work til 8am, then drive to office and work, then back home to work til 6pm. I have two full time jobs and I freelance. No matter where I am I'm probably juggling 5-10 jobs at any moment. The problem I have is keeping two MacPro towers in synch with the same files - including those just temporary dumped on desktop. I need a sync solution, either automatic (preferred) or manual, to make sure when I hop in car and go to different location I have all the files I need.

I'm guessing I'm making this more complicated then I need to. Email is not an issue, it's all the CC files and external links I create. For those that might wonder how many files we are talking about, last week I created 1,083 files varying between ,ai, .ind, .psd, .pdf and binary files pulled off the web. Copying this number of files manually is problematic - they might be in one of hundreds of folders or on desktop.

Ideally, I'd like to know that when I hop in the car and drive 20 minutes to other office that when I get there the files I just created are automatically already there - or at least accessible.
