Does anybody have an idea why iCloud Photos is so slow? It takes forever to upload and download photos and videos. I use alot of other cloud services and never had any problems with them.
I'm using 1gbit/1gbit fiber connection and to services like Google Drive and Dropbox, I manage to both upload and download to speeds up to 90 MB/s. With iCloud, based on OS X's Activity Monitor, I never get anything above 1 MB/s.
I have the fiber optic modem on bridged mode (so my Mac gets an public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses) and running a short cat6a cable to my Mac Pro.
Is there anything I can do or try at my end or is the problem at Apple's end?
