Every time I use Touch ID my phone thinks I click the Home Button

My iPhone 5s fell in the sea a while back and now I got around to fix it. I have replaced the battery and now every time i place my finger on the Home button to unlock the phone, Siri activates on the lock screen. And when I set up my fingerprint it kept on saying: "Oops, you clicked!". When I use the phone Home Button works perfectly, but every time I use TouchID (which still works), the phone thinks I clicked it (and I no NOT click it)

Sorry for my username.

Who replaced the battery? If it was someone without sufficient expertise, they may have damaged something. You don't have to live in the U.S. to get service on your iPhone (unless that's where you purchased it). Apple offers service in many countries. However, if someone unauthorized has opened the phone, that avenue may be closed to you.

I didn't damage anything. The damage done to the phone was caused by seawater and corrosion.

I see you can't back up your "facts" so don't tell me that I damaged the phone myself.

NO, the seawater did the damage. If you had taken it to Apple immediately theye would have replace the whole phone for $229. Now they won't touch it.

She was telling you facts. Apple doesn't have the home button coded to your particular phone by hardware. It is done in the software and they have the ability to recode a new home button to the phone. The problem is that apple will not fix it now that you voided any warranty by replacing the battery yourself. That is the point she was trying to get across but you kept missing it.
