Q: Access denied from clients after log out or restart

I'm using ARD 3.8 to manage over 100 computers with OS 10.9.5 up 10.11.5. Their ARD clients range from 3.7.1 to 3.8.5.

After logging in and out of my account, or restarting, when I launch ARD, most of them show their statuses as "Access Denied". However, a few are still connected, but there's no pattern to that. Their OS's span the range I described above and this includes one on ARD client 3.7.1.

The username/password combination did not change on the machines (these are all work-configured so the admin authentication is standardized).

I could re-connect them, but the problem will come back the next time I log in or restart.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

As a test, I decided to just leave the computer on, with ARD Admin running. When I came in this morning, there was a window saying that there were critical errors, and that I should re-launch ARD.,

When I re-launched ARD, the problem came back.

Regardind that error, I looked in the console, this is what I saw:

    5/24/16 8:00:57.458 PM    com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]    (com.apple.RemoteDesktop.agent[450]) Service exited due to signal: Killed: 9

    When computers show as offline:

Have you verified the computer is on and awake?

assuming it is awake. On your computer. Have you tried quitting are, then opening are, and then running a network segment scan to refresh the computer status?

    For Trouble shooting the crashes.

I would suggest a time machine backup to be safe.

    Assuming you have the backup.

    Have you tried a safeboot?

Have you tried deleting the app and then re-downloading the app from the app store?

Have you tried re-downloading os x from the app store; and re-installing it?
