how to add videos to iphone?

Hi,

I want to add my college lecture vidoes (mp4) to my iphone 6s+. How to do that? I have installed itunes on my laptop(windows 8). I tried to import, add files to library etc, but none seem to work. You guys made it extremely hard to add my own content to iphone.
