    Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find your Mac operating system version.  If you are in an X version, you posted in the wrong forum.

     

    Quicktime has stored videos in different manners on different operating systems.  Go to the forum listing below once you know your version:

    If indeed you are not running X, or Windows, as I recall the Classic version of Quicktime offered a drawer with shortcuts.  I believe if you just dragged the video icon to the trash, it would disappear from the drawer.

     

    Be careful though, that the actual Quicktime file itself doesn't end in the trash.

     

    If it does, refile it elsewhere with the Finder unless you really don't need it anymore.
