Apple ID

II've been sharing my mom's Apple ID since I got my first iPhone. I just got my first MacBook and I'm wanting to create my own Apple ID. Will I be able to transfer all of the music I've bought over the years? Will I need to back up my phone using her Apple ID or could I use my new one?

Firstly,

Congrats on your new Mac! To answer your question, you can still share content as each Apple ID purchase history has a limit of up to 10 iOS/CPU devices which can share their purchased content so long as they have been authorized (5 computers total. This number is absolute for computers)

It is highly recommended that you do create your own Apple ID, and you guys may want to look into setting up Family Sharing to make all of this easier.

You will be able to backup using your own Apple ID after everything is setup.

If you wanted to transfer your music to your new MacBook, there are a few ways to do it.
