Q: Multicam Clip Audio Plugins don't pass through to the parent timeline

I'm using the current version of FCPX. I'm not sure if this problem has happened before or if I just didn't notice it.

Usually when I'm editing multicam clips I go through and make all my desired cuts/camera switches, then I right click and select "Open in timeline" and add my color correction to each video angle so I don't have to copy and paste everything a bunch of times on the outside of the multicam clip.

For some reason this doesn't work with the audio track. I have 2nd source audio recorded. I added a limiter to it and slammed it super loud, but when I exit the multicam clip and am back in my timeline the audio plays back at the recorded volume ignoring any plugins/fx that I put on it. I went back and added some random FX to the video angles to test it and everything I added to the video was carried through to my normal timeline.

Is this how the audio in a multicam clip is supposed to function or is this a bug? I think other times I've selected the whole multicam edit and put into a compound clip then added the audio fx to that, which is why I might not have noticed this happening before. I thought it might have been the 3rd party audio plug ins I was using, so I switched to the stock apple versions and it made no difference.

This is not a case of me being mistaken and having the wrong audio selected for playback, I'm 100% sure of that.

Side note: Why is it that when all the plug ins (eq, compressor, etc.) were updated in Logic X that none of that carried over into FCPX? Aren't they using the same stock apple plugins? If I muck around in my components folder and copy them over manually with it work with FCPX or will it get mad at me?
