Q: nO MATTER WHAT i DO MY IPHONE SAYS IT WILL NOT BACKUP BECAUSE IT IS NOT CONNECTED - YET .. IT IS. AND I CAN SEE IT ON ITUNES. I NEED TO RESTORE FROM THE PHONE THAT I CANNOT BACKUP SO NOW I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A PHONE FOR NEARLY 2 WEEKS TRYING TO FIGURE

I cannot backup my iPhone which means I cannot restore a new one I purchased weeks ago. HELP!!!

I have tried everything and iTunes and iPhone are up to date. Extremely frustrating to go weeks without a phone since the old one is turned off and the new one is not connected.

    Is the iPhone physically connected to your computer with the USB cable? The iPhone can "connect" to iTunes wirelessly for certain things like syncing, but to do a backup it must be connected with the USB. If you've already tried that, then I would suggest going to the iCloud menu in Settings, signing in if you have not already done so, and then make a backup through iCloud rather than iTunes.
