Q: Multicam on Final Cut Pro X trial version

Hi there, I'm trying to create a new Multicam clip on Final Cut Pro X trial version 10.2.3 using 2 video clips I downloaded from youtube and one audio clip I just imported from itunes.  The problem is every time I try to create new Multicam clip it only transfers the audio clip and not the video clips.  It just leaves a black screen where the video clips should have been inserted.  Why is it doing this?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), IOS 10.11.5

PPerhaps it can't sync them. What are you using to sync?

I'm not using anything to sync them, I just highlight them under all clips, right click, and then click new Multicam clip.

be sure, all sources have a diff. cam/angle name (not file name ), check in the Inspector

... using 2 video clips I downloaded from youtube and one audio clip I just imported from itunes.  ...

sounds to me, you 'abuse' MultiCam for a track replacement ....

MC is for synching one 'happening' recorded from diff. perspectives, best example: music clip. Or, a sport game, recorded with several cameras.

to edit two different, content-wise not related clips to some music, multicam is the wrong way....

WWhen you do that a dialogue appears. If you accept the default behavior it will try to sync based on audio. If you just want the clips in a multicam stack open the dialogue and change to settings, maybe to first frame and uncheck sync audio.

That may be true but I just videotaped myself on my cousins samsung, emailed it to me, downloaded it to my macbook, and the same thing happened.
