Q: the iphone (iphone 5s) could not be updated. an unknown error occurred (-1)

when try to fix by restore or update these message appear i need fix i tried twice same problem.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.2.1

If you have attempted all recommended troubleshooting including the use of different (apple) lightning cable, latest version of iTunes, and a different computer and you are seeing the same error code repeated, it seems you have a hardware issue. Contact Apple for Support options.

Error 1 or -1 indicates a hardware fault. Make an appointment at the genius bar. The phone will have to be replaced.
