error message while loading profile
My MacBook Air loads and I choose my user profile and while that is loading I get this symbol and it stops loading. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

The prohibitory sign means your Mac can't find a system folder to boot from.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Option key. That should launch the Startup Manager window where you can select the startup disk (Macintosh HD) then click Restart.
If the startup disk is grayed out, the disk is failing or has failed and needs replacing.
