It has a 1.1GHz-1.3GHz processor, depending on the model you choose.

May 25, 2016 7:58 PM in response to Mauricio Icloudby Lanny,I'm not sure what measures of performance you have in mind, but clearly the Intel core M processors are the least powerful CPUs shipping in any Mac. The MacBook has the lowest performance of any Mac. However, this concession allows it to be the lightest and thinness Mac laptop, which enhances its portability.
It is powerful enough for most uses, but clearly the MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros offer higher performance.

I used it to compare the specific CPUs in other systems I use and my earlier Air model to guess if the MacBook would be sufficient to run a Windows VM.
You want to look up the exact CPU and not generalize something like "i5" or "i7".
