Can I move my iphone back up to another computer

Someone please help me because I'm losing my mind. I upgraded my phone today to the 6s. Before I had the 5s. I backed up my phone onto my computer this morning (Windows 7) because I didnt have enough space on iCloud. I come home, my old version of iTunes won't work with my new phone. It says to update, so I tried. And I can not FOR THE LIFE OF ME download iTunes 12.4. I've literally tried everything. Updated my computer, trouble shooting the .exe, nothing works. Would I be able to take that back up (I found the file on my computer) from this morning, make a copy, put it on a USB drive, download iTunes on a different computer, and put my back up on that computer to restore my phone? Seriously please help, I've been at this for over an hour already.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

See turingtest2's excellent iTunes for Windows Troubleshooting guide at:

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

especially the section:

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components

The general troubleshooting advice when iTunes fails to install properly (and reinstalling or repairing it does not work) is to remove not only iTunes but all related components, reboot, remove the target installation folders and reinstall.

So are you saying when you open iTunes - go to the help tab - check for updates - you can't update iTunes.

You can restore from that backup, but when it comes to your content like music and apps, they won't pull back over without being referenced to the locations of where that content is kept on the computer. Your backup does not duplicate a copy of your music, apps, movies, etc in the backup packet itself. So it's a Yes and a No to your question.

Have you, and I don't mean to insult here, attempted to download a fresh copy of iTunes directly from apple.com and install that? It will update your existing iTunes program, and Windows 7 is most certainly compatible with the latest update of iTunes 12.4.
