    1. Its not the iPad that needs the lates iTunes version, its your computer.  Depending on what version of Mac OSx you are running will be wether you can get it or not.

    2. This is the Windows Software forum, if you are running iTunes on a Mac Pro, then you are not running Windows. I'll request this be moved to a more adequate forum.

Uninstall MacKeeper. It is a worthless scam. It offers no additional protection. All it does is cause problems.

That is far from the latest software.

It was superseded by 10.7 Lion, released to manufacturing on July 1, 2011.

    The latest iOS requires:

Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:

    •Mac: OS X v10.8.5 or later

    •PC: Windows 7 or later

•iTunes 12.3.3 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)

You can get the OSX version here:

    http://www.apple.com/osx/how-to-upgrade/?cid=wwa-us-kwg-mac

Note that when going beyond Snow Leopard many app will not work:

Upgrading to 10.7 and above, don't forget Rosetta!

The MacBook Pro is on Snow Leopard, 10.6.8, according to the Etrecheck report posted.  This is far removed from the latest OS and by extension the latest iTunes version.  5 major versions behind to be exact.

You'll need to update your MacBook Pro to El Capitan 10.11,  to get the latest version of iTunes that can sync with the iPad Pro.

Upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

I would recommend upgrading the RAM while you are doing this by the way.

10.11 ElCapitan can install and run in 4GB without serious issues.

ElCapitan runs much better with more than 4GB RAM.

    I know,

I never said it couldn't. Just recommending an upgrade while updating to make performance as smooth as possible.

I agree with what you posted -- Just trying to clarify what is required Vs what is recommended, and the implications of deferring the RAM upgrade, since there is a cost involved.

Right there. You need to at least have Mountain Lion to install a compatible version of iTunes onto your MacBook Pro. You can find El Capitan (current OS) in the App Store app on your Mac and update so long as you meet the system requirements, which you do.

The latest MacBook comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and runs just fine on this version.

    Backup before update.
