Q: Podcast feed, fails validation

I copied the rss file directly off of Apple's RSS spec site:

https://help.apple.com/itc/podcasts_connect/?lang=en#/itcbaf351599

And I hand entered all the data after my auto generated feeds would not validate anywhere. I used to do this by hand all the time way back in 2004.

I get the following errors in podcasts connect:

    Can’t submit your feed. There is no category tag in your feed, or the category tag is empty.

Can’t submit your feed. There is no explicit tag in your feed, or the explicit tag is empty.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here. I have the tags

<itunes:category text="Society & Culture"/>

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit>

in my file as written here. help?

my feed is located at http://files.hawaiipublicradio.org/rss/iceage.xml

    Your category tags read

    <itunes:category text="News & Politics"/>

    <itunes:category text="Society & Culture"/>

    You haven't provided a sub-category for Society & Culture ( News and Politics does not have one) and that might possibly be the issue. The categories and sub-categories are listed here: https://help.apple.com/itc/podcasts_connect/#/itc9267a2f12

    The category tags should take the form

    <itunes:category text="News & Politics"/>

    <itunes:category text="Society & Culture">

    <itunes:category text="History" />

    </itunes:category>

    (with whichever of the four sub-categories you feel is best.) Only News & Politics will show in the Store.

    You don't have an 'itunes:explicit' tag within your episode tag, and again this may be the problem.
