Q: How do I move a 5:28 long movie out of iPhoto-iCloud?

How do I move a 5:28 long movie out of iPhoto-iCloud into an apple non-related space? When I try to share it the software says it is 28 seconds too long and will be trimmed. I click OK and nothing happens. Trimmed by whom? When? Then what? When I have copied the iPhoto file to my iBook it seems all the data is still trapped inside the iPhoto file. I can't figure out how to share this movie like I want to. I want to move it into OneCloud (where I have a lot of space) and then share the file in a folder through a link. Is there something wrong with this? This is far too confusing and have found no help info. Thanks for any useful input

iMAC, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

iCloud has several different services, each with their own limits on video. You seem to up against the limits for Photo Sharing, which is a hard 5 minutes.

The trimming happened and the file was rendered to share. But I don't want the video trapped inside iCloud, as noted above, and just let people with the right technology see it by sharing it in iPhoto. It is too big to mail. Does the mail option provide a link to the file or actually attach the file? The main question is: How do I move/export the actual file out of iPhoto?

It is trapped inside the iPhoto file I downloaded from iCloud - now on my Mac mini - latest OS. I also clicked to have the files removed from iCLoud. It seems it takes 30 days for this to happen. What???

Can you access it on iCloud.com? If so, that should be the original unaltered file at 5:28. Downloading it from iCloud should go to your downloads folder in its original state. There is no need to involve iPhoto or Photos.

If the original file is inside iPhoto, select the movie file, File > Export > Kind should be "original" Pick a destination and then the EXPORT button.

From there there are other ways to share it that do not rely on iCloud.

Depending on it's file size, you may want to enhance it fir the web, but with the original file, you should have lots of options.
