Q: iOS 9 bluetooth icon blinking

iPhone 6S, Apple Watch paired, also occasionally use Plantronics BT headset or Sony BT speaker. The Bluetooth icon at the top of the home screen blinks all the time, a double pulse. It's very distracting. If I turn off BT, I can't use my watch. Anyone know what's going on? (Anecdotally I have the feeling that the iPhone battery life is dropping, but I haven't made a serious test of this, I just recharge the phone a couple times during the day. Possibly related; possibly not.)

I have not seen that and this is the only guidance I could find on the meaning of Bluetooth icons (nothing about blinking).

I am having the same issue and my Apple Watch battery is draining because the BT keeps disconnecting.

You might need to repair your devices, including the Apple Watch, since blinking icon means it is trying to connect to a device. If it never stops, that means it cannot complete the pairing and tries and tries again, which could of course be the cause of the battery draining.
