Zoom transition effect at 1:32?
Anyone know how to achieve that zoom transition in FCPX starting at 1:32? Any help would be amazing!

If you go through it frame by frame, you'll see that the first clip is (on slightly) zoomed out for 7 or 8 frames, with a blur effect, and the second clip starts zoomed in and then gets to normal size (also starting with a blur). There is no dissolve between them.
You could create this transition in Motion (which is a good idea if you think you may use this more than once), or you could do this directly in the FCP X timeline.
Say you want to do this as a way to transition from clip A to clip B.
1) Move the playhead to the transition point, then use the back arrow to move back, say, 8 frames.
2) Command-B to blade the tail end of clip A. Now we will work on this. Open the Inspector.
3A) move to the start of this "tail" and add a keyframe for Scale.
3B) move to the end of the tail and change the Scale parameter to how you want it to end.
3C) In the Effects browser, click on Blur. Drag the Zoom effect to the clip. Adjust the parameters to your liking in the Inspector.
Now do the analogous procedure to work on the head end of clip B.
from your excellent discription, Luis (I can not see Carl's video, blocked here), this isn't
Transitions/Blur/Zoom ???
Karsten, I never thought to look for that :-)
It is somewhat similar. but the Zoom transition as far as I can tell zooms the outgoing clip IN, and the ingoing clip OUT. There is no option ro change that in the Inspector. The OP's example zooms both clips out. It is probably easy to take this transition, "Open a Copy in Motion" and change it or, better yet, publish parameters so one can choose how one wants the zoom to be.
Thanks again mate
