Q: Panic reports more and more often

Hi all,

I know you've already seen this topic quite a few time, but as everybody around here I don't know how to interpret the below error log. Could someone help locating the issue I'm having with my laptop.

To mention that if it's not only the League of Legends in the BSD process that's giving me this error ( " BSD process name corresponding to current thread: LeagueofLegends " ) it can also be Lightroom I'm working with or Photoshop.

I would appreciate your input on this as I would like to get it fixed...if possible .

Thanks to everyone that could share some light on this issue!!

If the computer only panics with that one software title, then check to see if there is an update for it. You may need a more current version for compatibility: See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps. Also, if it truly is a problem only with that software then report it to the publisher/developer.

Thanks dude , I honestly wasn't aware about this Copatability check and I find usefull, what bothers me is that it crashed also while using Ligthroom (here I might need to check the version) or while connecting the HDMI cable on my TV while streaming some video in Safari.

Also would you know if the Panic report is able to indicate if it's a hardware issue? Asking becuase the majority of cases happend while using (overheating) the GPU for a couple of hours...

Virtually all panics are hardware related but can be caused by a problem in used software. If you try running without any of your third-party software running, then you may likely find that you have no panics. Sometimes a panic report does more than identify a process causing the panic, as is the case with the report you posted. You may get additional information from exploring the Console logs around the moment of the panic. Console is located in the Utilities folder.

Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on diagnosing kernel panics. See How to fix kernel panics after installing OS X updates | MacIssues and OS X- About kernel panics for additional information. Some other things you can try:

Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

Boot into Safe Mode in order to test if you also get a panic in safe mode. If you do that may suggest a bad third-party extension or a bad cache file or preference file for that specific application. Then reboot normally. This will rebuild caches and may eliminate a corrupted cache file.

Disconnect all peripherals and see if the panics stop.
