Apple locked m6+ over 2m

Q: Apple Inc. has locked my iphone6+ for over 2 months and i am still waiting....

Two months ago, no now is over two months already. My apple ID was hijacked by thief and the thief changed password and setup two steps security lock and use Apple `s technology which is search my phone or whatever it is called you know that function in the new IOS.

The thief ask me for money so that I could active my phone, I called apple help desk and answered my security questions right and I send email to apple as they asked with all my original evidence that can proof this phone under ******.com ID is my phone. I have invoice, package everything.

Before I travel back to New Zealand, that is 25th of Mar, apple told me they will need 7 – 15 days to solve this problem. Alright I wait. But now after two months, still no body from apple tells me how long should I wait for Apple to unlock my iPhone.

I mean two F-months, everybody!!! With no solutions from a world top IT company??? I am and was your loyal customers and I am a victim of this crime. I did `t pay any money to the thief just because I believe I can find right solution from you Apple. But right the thief is happy, they sold my ID to some other thief who is selling stolen iPhone and using my ID.

I called apple many times, each and every times Apple will give me a so called Sr. consultant and then they asked me same questions and let me sent same material to them but no one could answer me this simple question: “ when you could unlock my phone” ????

Situation is unacceptable!!

My case ID is 1067174346, Apple ID is ******.com this is the one was hijacked. I am in China. The funny thing is that I called Apple US, because in Apple China, they told me the unlock need to be done by US HQ, there is lady tried to help me but every email and their internal process record of case that send to US is in f- Chinese!!?? Come on!! I I have worked in multinational for over 15 years, 3 year in Dell, but every internal email must be in English for everybody in every office around world could understand.

Again, My case ID is 1067174346, Apple ID is ******.com I wish I could get my iP{hone unlocked soon.

Is there somebody could help? I really do `t like spend time together with my lawyer for phone.

I have a similar experience. When I installed  the IOS released last March 23, my iPhone 5S could not go through the setup and remains locked till now. Had no choice but to buy the iPhone SE last April 1 because I had no phone to use. Apple support also asked me to provide them with a copy of my receipt and promised to activate within 6 to 10 days.

I have not heard of an issue like this that could not be resolved rather quickly with proper ID and proof of purchase. I would ask to speak with a Level 2 Customer rep or a supervisor. If still getting the run around I would go to an Apple Store, ask to speak with the Manager, explain your issue in detail firmly but politely, and I would not leave until they are able to resolve.

It sounds as though, if you are being prompted with this ransom through the phone itself, that the phone was put into Lost Mode. I can assure you that once a device is put into Lost Mode, no Apple Store personnel are going to be able to assist on this. They simply lack the access to override such a setting.

Continue speaking with Apple, and you should be working with a Senior Advisor by the point, as they have a ticket they can perform in such an exact instance as this. It isn't guaranteed that you will be successful given the fact that they have also been able to gather enough of your security information to make changes to the account security type itself, but it is your best and only opportunity in such a specific instance.

    Best of luck

Exactly! I just updated my iPhone right before I go back to New Zealand on the almost same date as yours. And I bought a 6s because I have no phone to use at that moment.

I tried senior way and I called to US. As I said, everything Apple recorded from China is in Chinese language, Seniors in US they just simple can `t read those and understand my problem.

Why Apple employee in China send Chinese email back to US? Why do `t use English? ??

AppleCare is a 2 tier support system for customer facing. It sounds like you were speaking with a Senior Advisor already and asking to speak with someone above them. That's just not existent. You're not going to be patched through to the CEO or a VP or even an Engineer because you ask to be.They don't take phone calls.

In the future, be wary of phishing scams. It's not just iPhones people take over with such scams, people can steal full identities if they collect enough little peaces of information. That is never a place you want to be in, because it's insanely hard to fix.

So you were saying besides waiting over two months, i will need to continue waiting? Until Apple satisfied to unlock my phone, despite mine?

You know, what you replied and the way you talk is just like all the Apple people i have talked with for past two months.

System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

Find My iPhone, Activation Lock, was introduced in iOS 7 release. Has your Apple ID account been changed to a Chinese email address by the one who took it over, and locked you out of your account and iPhone? Are you being prompted for an @qq.com or @163?

Did you buy it from an authorized source in China? If not, it's likely you purchased a used / stolen phone.
