I accidentally removed items in "all my files" and cannot find them in the trash. where would they be located? how do I retrieve them? there were several thousands of files before i hit the stop deleting function. I only find a few items in my trash and none that were deleted.
OBS Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Finder>Preferences>Sidebar>All My Files
command Z will undo the last command
Not sure if it is backed up on the cloud. Have not ever tried downloading anything from cloud
This did not work, at least not entirely, two files did show up, both .css files and when I opened it was garbled. Nothing more
"all my files" is very powerful and therefore very dangerous. In my opinion this should be disabled by default.
Curious as to why you would trash all the files shown there?
I thought I was in a different place, documents where I have temporary files and was doing some housekeeping. Just did not pay attention to where i was when deleting.
I repeat, do you have a backup?
Before under taking any housekeeping tasks, you first step should be a backup.
