Q: Convert Older Quicktime Files To Work With New Quicktime
Please .... surely .... there must be some kind of conversion program that can be used on those older files to make them compatible with the new app.
I have a lot of older files and I did download the legacy Quicktime app to view them but it's not just my own use I am concerned about.
What about the countless people who have uploaded files to the internet? Myself included.
Some have uploaded hundreds.
(and I don't mean YouTube)
How can anyone expect every person who visits their content to have to download a second Quicktime app?
We all know that's simply not going to happen.
People will just move on.
Do the content owners really have to go back and redo all that work?
Please tell me there is a conversion app to make up for this lame and frustrating oversight on the part of Mother Apple.
Please forgive my placement of this query in the OS/X section.
I was unable to find a better location for it.
There was nothing for quicktime.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 2.8 GHz i7 - 768 Gb SSD - 16 Mb RAM
