Saving a slide show

Can you save a slide show to a jump drive and run it from a USB on a TV? Trying to bring a photos slide show to a graduation party to share. Wasn't sure if I will need to run from my laptop instead.

Export it from iPhoto (file menu ==> export) and then drag the exported movie to the Jump drive

Be sure to text the slideshow movie file on the TV set before the party to make sure the movie file format is compatible with the TV set. Do it a couple of days in advance so you have time to change the format if the original is not compatible.
