Q: Macbook air 2013 won't turn on and charge

I had a macbook, 2013, two days ago is hard to turn it on I guess running out of battery or the MagSafe damaged but it turned it on and took about 10 minutes to try. the next day I turn on my macbook and could because it lived about 5 minutes it was died, I guess it just in a state of 'sleep' but I am trying to revive it can not be and I try as time yesterday, I charge the battery it does not appear green light or orange . I try to bring to the e-store they said that this issue is on the mainboard. if anyone has experienced the same thing? is there any other way other than replacing the mainboard? because the mainboard is expensive and I just bought a macbook this 2 years ago.
