Q: length attribute of enclosure must be a positive integer

Hi guys, can anyone help?

www.rovingsounds.org/podcast/feed

iTunes is only showing the first of three episodes, (first released 2 months ago, second 1 month ago, 3rd today), and feedvalidator.org is saying my feed is invalid, giving me the following error messages:

line 34, column 0: length attribute of enclosure must be a positive integer (3 occurrences) [help]

and

line 34, column 0: type attribute of enclosure must be a valid MIME type (3 occurrences) [help]

In wordpress I have assigned the audio files a length, and file type enclosure tag.

What do these mean and how do i fix them?

Ash

    The 'enclosure' tag for your top episode looks like this:

    <enclosure url="http://www.rovingsounds.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Roving-Sounds-Radio-Show- 3-Gnawa-Music-Moroccan-Trance.mp3" length="" type="" />

    The length must be the file size in bytes; the type in this case must be "audio/mpeg". However iTunes and the Store don't take much notice of the length, though it's worth getting it right. This is true of all three episodes, and furthermore none of them has an 'itunes:duration' tag giving the duration in the format hh:mm:ss or mm:ss - this can cause problems.

    All three episodes which are in the feed appear when subscribing; you haven't posted your Store page URL and searching on the title produces no result. If the Store is not showing all the episodes try going to http://podcastsconnect.apple.com and refreshing your feed.

    It looks like you're using a self-hosted WordPress site to generate your podcast RSS feed. That's not enough by itself. You need a podcasting plugin to provide all of the extra functionality to create a proper podcast feed. Take a look at Blubrry PowerPress to take care of your podcast feed. It's a free plugin and used by thousands of podcasters. (disclosure: I work with the Blubrry support team)
