Q: Messages received by wrong iPhone
I have an iPhone 5. I gave my daughter my iPhone 4S
Recently, without any apparent reason, my daughters phone started to receive any messages send to me by iPhone. I am not receiving these messages myself.
I checked up on this and it seemed the problem was that we shared the Apple ID (although this wasn't a problem for several months), so I created a separate Apple ID for her.
This has not solved the problem; no one can message me from an iPhone, the messages all go to hers.
Can anyone explain what is going on?
iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.2

On both phones go to the following locations under Settings, sign out of all of them and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:
iCloud, iTunes & App Store, Messages, FaceTime, and Game Center if you use it.
