May 27, 2016 10:10 AM in response to Katie Mehnertby elcpu,You cannot reinstall it per se but you can try resetting your Mail Account. First close your Mail App completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Mail preview pane up until it disappears from the screen. Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > locate your email provider and click on the account and swipe to Delete. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Then go back to Settings > Mail… and add the account again.
If the above does not help try a System Restore. That will reinstall a fresh copy of the Mail app as well as the whole iOS system.
First backup your device using iTunes. Also import your photos to your computer and copy all important data. Try restoring from backup first and testing it. If it does not help, you may have to restore as New and reconfigure from scratch as the backup could be corrupted. For this reason it is important to have your photos and data saved separately from the backup. Here are the steps for a Restore:

May 27, 2016 10:17 AM in response to ManSinhaby Katie Mehnert,I cannot get my MAIL app to acknowledge accounts. It started randomly happening where I could not send mail for days and then it just stopped. I stopped using it and began to use OUTLOOK to check my gmail and my work email. Now we are moving my work email to Oytlook 365 and I want ONE place for contacts and calendar AND mail.
It won't allow me to set up mail accounts. In some cases they just sit there. And spin.
