Apple Watch Unresponsive screen

The watch screen responds to touch sporadically and unpredictably -- and it keeps getting worse.

I Have updated the software on watch and phone.

I Have reset and re-paired the watch several times. At least three times from backup and twice as a new watch.

And now a black dot has appeared on the screen. That is a new development.

Naturally the warranty ended about a week ago.

Brick it and wait for watch 2.0?
