Why can't I download entire folders from icloud.com? It will only allow me to download individual files. My folders have files arranged in sub-folders, and I don't want to have to reconstruct that on my laptop.

Same issue after more then one year. It seems that Apple does not care about creating a professional solution in terms of cloud storage. icloud drive does not sync properly either on windows 10 using their crappy client. They have to learn a lot from competing solutions.

Yes there is, just do as I said and paste that path into the Go To Folder dialog (on the Go menu)
They are already on your Mac, why do you need another copy?
That is not possible, they are still on your Mac at ~>library>mobile folders

Then you went to the wrong library, The symbol at the head of the line is your home symbol, you probably went to the library at the root of your hard drive.
Go to ~/library/mobile folders, it is a duplicate of the iCloud Drive.
Paste the path into the "Go to folder" option

Ok, if I hold option down and go to the Go menu, it shows library. And if I go to "show view options", I can check library and now it shows up. In Mobile documents, however, none of the files I'm looking for show up. If I go to icloud.com, the files are there.
Then you have a highly non standard Mac, take it to an Apple Store because something is wrong, the folder exists on other Macs.

You can understand why he was having trouble finding the folder
Anyway, even on my system you cannot see the contents of the "Mobile Documents" folder in the Finder. You can however see the contents if you use the terminal.

Are you trying to download them from the iCloud.com web site or are you trying to copy them from the iCloud Drive folder in the Finder?
I have no problem copying folders full of stuff from my iCloud Drive in the Finder.
Thanks for the reply. I have no documents in my icloud in finder. I removed them to free up space. They're all on icloud.com, though. I wanted to download a couple of folders to an external drive, but it will only let me download one file at a time. I was hoping there was some way to move entire folders so I don't have to reconstruct them on the external drive.
