Q: Why is Quicktime 7 for Windows no longer supported?  It will break all of the software we have developed over the years

We use Quicktime support in many of our software packages (based on Director).  There is a panic among Windows users to uninstall Quicktime 7 immediately.  This seems crazy. Why is Apple dropping support?  http://blog.trendmicro.com/urgent-call-action-uninstall-quicktime-windows-today/

This will cause all of our software pieces to fail.  What should we do?
