I have 10.6.3 operating system. How can I get the latest Itunes

how do you update to the latest version of Itunes when you only have 10.6.3 operating system. I have an IMAC 8.1 purchased in 2008. I had to have a new

hard drive installed and had to reload the old discs so I am stuck at 10.6.3. I ultimately want to load Snow Leopard so that I can then update to the latest

You basically need to update to 10.6.8 through the Software Update pane of System Preferences or Apple's Support site, and then either download El Capitan from the Mac App Store or click on its Purchases tab and redownload an OS you've previously gotten.
