Q: Using 30-pin Non-Apple Charger with iPT 4???

Hello, so long story short all of my Apple chargers have torn and no longer charge. I have an alarm clock charging dock and another third-party charger. I tested both with my father's iPT 2, but none of them charge my iPT 4. Is there any workaround that I can use to charge it? Thanks!

Well, yesterday I just got an old iPhone 3G portable charger and it works- when the iPod is completely off. I'm considering just getting something newer; after all, I believe the 4 came out in September 2010. Thanks anyway!
