Q: archive super 8 video
I have a lot of precious family videos, shot on super 8. Years later, I no longer have a Mac computer that accepts RCA cable input.
I have a Sony VCR EV-C25 Video player/recorder and a digitizer, a combination that worked for me years ago when I had a Mac that took RCA A-V input.
i understand that there are devices available that have a USB connection for my Mac (a MacBook Pro 15 inch, mid-2009, running El Capitan), accept RCA cable input, and do the digitizing. Someone told me about the Black Magic Design H.264 Pro Recorder, which sounds like it would very good in terms of video quality, though I'm not a professional video editor. I'd much appreciate advice/opinions about the various ways I could archive my 8mm video tapes.
Thanks,
Joe
