Upgrading late 2015 iMac SSD and Ram

I have a late 2015 iMac 27" with 1TB Fusion Drive and 8GB RAM

i use my computer for gaming and would like to run everything on an SSD and upgrade RAM

TO be honest I understand the basics of it all but looking for some advice from experts. Looking for the best quality gaming I can Get.

The door is not on the bottom its on the back just under the stand mount. We are talking slimline 2015 iMac here not the older Superdrive equipped iMacs. Its only the 27" that has the Ram access 'door' now

Based on other forums discussion about this, I'd suggest manually adding more ram. Easy via the door on the back of the unit. As for SSD, either ask Apple to do it, or run an SSD via an enclosed kit

The panel (door) is on the bottom, not the back (assuming it has a RAM access panel)

Confused. I'm talking about the access door for adding ram, i.e. memory. I just did it on my iMac 1TB Fusion, Late 2015, about a week ago. The door is on the back of the unit. Albeit, towards the bottom, above the power cord.

Unless I'm missing something here...

You're right, on new models the door is at the back near the bottom, on older ones it is on the bottom

Note that if you plan to do the SSD upgrade yourself, you will void your warrany

plus it is just a royal pain to do. Let and AASP do it for you.
