May 29, 2016 4:13 AM in response to turingtest2by Ian001,This is how I fixed it, so that iTunes recognised my new iPod Nano:
Turning the cable that goes into the iPod around 180 degrees!
So why doesn't Apple have an indicator on the cable for the correct way around??

With a new device you might want to take it back to the store for a replacement since it should be working perfectly.
