Q: New iPod Nano

I have a new iPod Nano but it is not registering o my existing iTunes account.  How do I set up my new Nano onto my existing iTunes account?

    Only iOS devices become associated with your iTunes account. Connect the device to iTunes. add media to it. That's it.

    This is how I fixed it, so that iTunes recognised my new iPod Nano:

    Turning the cable that goes into the iPod around 180 degrees!

     

    So why doesn't Apple have an indicator on the cable for the correct way around??

    There isn't supposed to be a right way around, but if the cable is damaged or there is fluff in the port it might work better in one orientation than the other. With a new device you might want to take it back to the store for a replacement since it should be working perfectly.
