just finished installing 10.11.5 El Capitan on my MBA and now fan is running high. Anyone else? Fix?

Try a SMC reset. The article covers when this is required, but doing this will not affect anything.
Me too....I finally decided to look it up today and found this because it's draining my battery like crazy. Going through the list now to try before resetting the SMC, but nothing has helped yet.
Since resetting my MacBook Air, the fan has stopped running. Don't know why I didn't try that sooner. Guess I'm just used to my MacBook Air just working and never having to do anything!
