I'm guessing you mean in Mail?

If so, The On My Mac "mailbox" is locally stored emails.

The Comcast "account" shows all online folders that are not in the unified Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, and Junk.

I read your description to mean you have two COLUMNS in the sidebar = true?

    1. Take a screenshot
    2. open it in Preview
    3. redact any personal info
    4. save
    5. post it here

    Hello and thanks!

I guess I should have stuck with my old CPU.   Wish there was a way to eliminate one of the columns because it is growing every week. I am going to back everything up and dump as much of that accumulating junk. There's got to be a way to shut that mess  off.

I truly appreciate your help.  Long for the days when I used my G5 I decided what junk to accumulate. So I will trash everything I can get to and do so. It's probably just me, there's too much to deal with with this stuff. With all respect to you and everyone who has helped on line, I am not a computer lover, I am a hands on type. I need it I make it from scratch whenever possible. Guess I was never meant to be a CPU guy. I find most of it tedious.

I appreciate those of you with expertise in this field. I truly do, but the cyberworld is just not for me.

I designed and constructed a 4X5" view camera from scratch and returned to film photography which I love and find most interesting when compared to the digital cameras. That's my world. Not a computer in the shop to do it. Not a put down, just me.

Sorry not meant as a rant, just taking a step back into world that I prefer.

To everyone who has tried to help and has, best wishes and I think I'll go and build a custom School Wall Clock, and finish my second 4X5" view camera. Or maybe I'll just walk down the street and catch some fish for my dinner.

    Hope I didn't waste anyone's time  here.

    Best,

    Richard

Why are you running away from this?

All we ask is that you describe what you see so that we can better understand what it is you are seeing. Nothing you've said makes any sense, so there is no way we can help you without your providing answers to our queries.

None of this requires you to build a computer or build a camera.

    1. OS X El Capitan: Take pictures of the screen
    2. Mac Basics: Preview app views and edits images and PDFs - Apple Support < use a rectangle shape w/ a solid fill to cover up anything you don't want the world to see
    3. use the camera tool above the Reply pane > screenshot-discussions apple com 2016-05-28 16-40-07.png < to insert the edited image here... like this

Hello Ladies and gentlemen.  Please let this issue go.

I am signing out of Apple's forum. Probably for good. Sorry to have even brought it up. Nothing aggainst you folks. I have never been a "lover of computers."

Cannot sit for so long due to near fatal injuries when I was hit by a truck two years ago this June. It was a near death experience and  affected me physically. and has given me some permanent chronic pain and discomfort. I guess it affect my patience levels with computers.

And for all you willing to help fine folks: Good luck with your endeavors. I have  enough of the computer world for now. Think I will take the summer off and go Bass fishing. I sincerely admire your knowledge and skills, but need to stick to what I really love and that is the outdoors. Put me on the firing range and I will hit the bullseye at least 97% of the time. Give me some good soil and I'l turn it into a great productive garden. Give me some wood and I'll make a great clock, or picture frames. Give me my garden produce and I'll make a great pizza. I do not need a computer for those. This may sound silly to you, but those are some of the things I would rather do.

Sorry I went on line with this Please just let it go.

I have been at this and numerous other issues since I bought this new Macbook Pro several weeks ago.(Bad logic board) and numerous trips back and forth every other day for a while (too often) to fix this or that.

My apologies for wasting your time.
