I have found Airdrop to be woefully unpredictable and inconsistent at best.  Try again some other time.

    ipad and iphone 5

Does AirDrop work between those devices, or from them to the Mac?

    Hi Linc,

I´ve tried between ipad, iphone and mac, and nothing, then I checked between ipad and iphone and nothing.

I discovered that between ipad and iphone don´t see each other with bluetooth.

I konw that my iphone´s bluetooth is working right because it connects with my car´s bluetooth.

Some time before, let´s say a year maybe, i used to transfer photos from my iphone to my mac and ipad without  any problem.

I have had this problem on iPhone 5s after upgrading from ios8 to iOS 9 and still having this problem on a brand new iPhone SE with iOS 9.3.2.

Apple should acknowledge that this is a problem after so many user complaining on the support forums.

As a IT manager i have done numerous test and found the common cause to be iOS 9.

Macbook El Capitan  to Macbook El Capitan -- > works

Macbook El Capitan  to iPhone SE iOS 9.3.2 --> cannot see iPhone in Finder AirDrop and iPhone can't see Macbook

Macbook El Capitan  to iPad mini iOS9.3.2 --> cannot see iPad in Finder AirDrop and iPad can't see Macbook

Macbook El Capitan  to iPhone 5c iOS 8 --> Works

Macbook El Capitan  to iPad mini iOS 8 --> Works

Test done with 6 different iPhone and 2 iPad mini and 2 MacBooks

    Apple please look into this.

I wonder Apple is working on these issues, the great advantage of Apple solutions was the connectivity between it´s own products.

It would be better to hurry up, otherwise we are loosing all the benefits that make our choice for Apple products..
