Here is the direct download of the full installer: Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI. And should you need it here is the uninstaller: Uninstall Flash Player. To download either just click on the link in this post. It will not dismiss you from the ASC or this topic.

I'm afraid you did not provide more specific information on the problem you were having, so if the above doesn't help then you may have a problem with your OS X installation. Please let us know if this helps you.

theratter... Some of us including me can download the installer but it fails when installing. The work-a-round is to download the full installer from Adobe. i don't know why this happens. The OP needs to download the full installer, the the file size is about 18MB. The installer you get when using system prefs to do the update is a link and not a full installer.
