Q: I factory restored my iphone 4 but the pictures wont delete

I have pictures on my iPhone 4 that I cannot delete off the phone. I have even done a complete factory restore. I do not believe there is an iCloud account.

Even after the factory restore, the pictures still remain on the device after setting the phone up again.

Also I am unable to update the IOS either, it will error and say not enough space although I've tried to update after deleting all the deletable apps.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

When you set up the phone again - did you use a prior backup - that is the only way the photos can remain on the device

You could try another restore using iTunes and use the restore as new

The Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all contents and settings command also works well

As to updating the iOS - when you use iTunes to restore to factory condition - it will automatically set it up with the latest available iOS for that phone in your case 7.1.2

Alternatively, you can erase it again: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings, and set up as new which should update the device as ManSinha indicated above. Once the iOS is updated, erase it again (the same way as above), then try to set it up from your backup to see if you can restore your data.

If you are unable to, you can sync back data from iTunes.
