Motion two crashes - macbook pro

Hi, i dont know a whole lot about the technical side of the program but i am using final cut pro. for some reason everytime i open motion 2 it crashes before it begins. someone said i need to download a universal binary from the apple web site for it to work correctly, but i dont even know what that means. if anyone can explain to me in basic terms what a universal binary is, how and if it will help with motion 2 and where i can download it, i would be very grateful. thank you. kind regards. chris

Hey Sam

aaaahhhh!!!!! This is a topic, as a recent neophyte to the apple universe, I've had some painful lessons in. Patrick is right...the big question is "do you have an INTEL BASED MAC ?" If so BEWARE!!! of all software you buy for it. MAKE SURE IT SAYS "UNIVERSAL" with what looks, kinda, like a yin yang symbol. You see, not all programs that run on the older G4 or G5 macs will run properly on an intel based machine. 😟 The only ones you can really trust to actually run on an intel mac are "UNIVERSAL BINARY" programs. You can look at my posting "Motion 1 (not on intel machine) so what now... "if you want to feel my pain. 🙂
